The UMSRG is a group of University of Mississippi faculty and staff working across disciplines to learn more about the history of slavery and enslaved people in Oxford and on campus.

Co-chaired by Charles K. Ross, director of African American Studies and professor of history, and Jeff Jackson, associate professor of sociology, the UMSRG includes 58 faculty members across 17 academic departments.
