On Monday, February 25, Austin Choi-Fitzpatrick an assistant professor of political sociology at the University of San Diego’s Kroc School of Peace Studies and associate professor of social movements and human rights at the University of Nottingham’s School of Sociology and Social Policy, will discuss his book What Slaveholders Think, examining “how contemporary slaveholders rationalize the subjugation of other human beings, and how they respond when their power is threatened.” This event, which is part of the #Year400 lecture series, will take place at 7PM in Croft 107. It is free and open to the public.
